Exaggeration is Fuel

The panorama sweeps across your vision; Powerful and full with glorious indigo pillows of protection over sweeping sharp mountainous valleys. The wind blows gently against your skin; each breathe settling you into the Earth's terrain. The promises are abundant there. All is accessible.

We look upon those mountains and encourage ourselves of the possibilities of our lives. We rejoice in the visions of our deepest desires. Our hearts milk truth and soft petitions. Suddenly the soft breeze decreases into a sticky drought. Your thoughts are now paralyzed as you realize how distant the shadows of the mountains are; how inaccessible the clouds remain. The world's reality sets in and we walk away head bowed.

I feel defeated many days. I think back 5, 10, 20 years ago and the mindset I had at that time. My confidence was powerful - I was much younger then. I dreamed big and imagined bold outcomes. The excitement bellowed through every word and every action.

Time went on, life happened. Many of my dreams did not come to pass. I started to search for solutions and techniques to change my circumstances. Yes I prayed, but in retrospect, they were empty prayers. I didn't feel anything while praying. They were short...I didn't even understand who I was praying to. It was just a cliché saying. Pray. Very little changed.

Over the years I learned a lot about myself. I learned not to look outward for help but to look within. I started to get closer to God and understand who I was praying too. Equally as important, I started to learn how to pray.

Undeniably, there is a way to pray. When you don't know what to pray, there is a prayer. When you don't how to pray, there is a way. When you don't know when to pray, there is a time. Pray through your heart. Pray what's on your mind. Give thanks for what you have. Pray often. When you pray, pray BOLDY.

Confidence

When you pray, tune in to the confidence you had in years past. Know that your prayers will be answered. Believe that what you imagine will come to pass. Through a confident prayer, there is nothing that anyone can say or no opposing vision that you can have that will keep you from seeing your prayers answered. In 1st John, God tells us "This is the confidence we have in approaching God: that if we ask anything according to his will, he hears us. And if we know that he hears us—whatever we ask—we know that we have what we asked of him."

Power

God has given us power and authority. When we pray, be strong like a giant. Speak to your trouble. Speak to your desires and feel the results of such rush through your body. It is so. Demand through prayer. Remind God what he has promised and thank him in advance for bringing his promises to pass. You are struggling in your finances, pray powerfully "Poverty you have no place in my life. I bind you on Earth. Thank you God for the abundance you have given me in Jesus name."

Undiscovered

A prayer of the foreign and unknown is a faith prayer. The things of our hearts, the solutions to our problems, have already been overcome through Jesus. We don't believe in what we see but only of what we hear in His word. Our position is to remember the promises of God. Remember the accomplishments of what Jesus has accomplished and speak those things that are not as though they were. In thanksgiving speak victory in peace. When you can't see it in this moment in your life, speak it as though you do; as though it already exist. As you speak, feel the emotion of its presence. You feel defeated in loneliness: pray, "Thank you God for the great friends in my life. Thank you for companionship Heavenly Father." Feel the emotion of being in good company of others; of having someone to hold at night. It is through faith prayers that all is realized and made known.

Lost

There will be many times when you don't know what to pray. You know what you want or may need but don't know how to ask for it. Or you feel like you have been praying for it so much that you don't want to be arrogant in your praying. You could never be too arrogant in your prayers. There is humbleness in arrogance; a confidence of being the child of God and all that He is that no one can take from you - your Priggish Heritage. In these moments of uncertainty, pray thanksgiving. Simply give thanks. Sometimes a prayer as simple as "Thank you Lord" is all that you need. Remember, God knows the secret petitions of your heart, so when you think you need the right words or don't have a clue what to say, He already knows. Now, he can move through your rest and thanksgiving.

Go get your blessings friend!
